Oh…no. I see how you could interpret it that way, but MY Regina doesn’t have designs on David Nolan. I think she actually quite likes him. And he’s a good man in my story, too (unlike on the show, bah) so that was just Regina having a moment of humanity and realising that he wanted to connect with her. The disgust she felt at that moment was really for herself, as she felt the burden of her own humanity changing her.
I like the idea of living in Storybrooke as a transitional experience for Regina. That in having this town under control and taking care of the people in it can and will change her and make her humanity more prevalent. She’s a person, you know? And living there, making friends and feeling the way she does about Emma makes her feel and act like a person.
She’ll fight it all the way, though. That’s just what she does, heh.
